Diploma of Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking Management)

The Diploma of Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking Management) gives mortgage and finance brokers access to the highest standard of education yet available.
 
When developing the Diploma of Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking Management), City Pacific Training worked with DeakinPrime, the corporate arm of Deakin University.

The Diploma is a flexible, self-paced program with paper-based reading materials which are posted to the student.  The assessment is comprised of online multiple-choice exams and workplace observations which are undertaken after the learning is completed for each module, and two written assignments required as the course progresses.
 
The Diploma consists of four modules, comprising 16 assessed units of competency and 1 non-assessed unit of competency. The modules cover a range of topics from legislation to basic home loans to complex business and commercial transactions. They also cover important communication, relationship building and marketing skills, making the Diploma one of the most comprehensive training programs available for finance brokers in Australia today.
 
The modules are: 

Module 1–Professional Practice in the Financial Services Industry1. Apply principles of professional practice to work in the financial services industry
2. Use Technology in the workplace
3. Apply health and safety practices in the workplace
4. Communicate in the workforce

Module 2–Finance/ Mortgage Broking Services
1. Prepare and present Loan applications on behalf of finance or mortgage broking client
2. Provide finance and/or mortgage broking services
3. Present broking options
4. Comply with Finance Service legislation, industry and professional codes of practice
5. Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of products and services by your organisation or sector
6. Settle application and loan arrangements in the finance/ mortgage broking industry

Module 3–Provision of Broking Options and Risk Assessment
1. Identify and develop complex broking options for client
2. Present broking options to clients with complex needs
3. Implement complex loan structures
4. Undertake Risk identification
5. Assess Risk

Module 4–Growing the Business
1. Develop and nurture relationships with clients, other professionals and third party referrers
2. Grow the practice
